Chemokine receptor Anti-CXC-R3/CD183 is a Gαi protein-coupled receptor in the CXC chemokine receptor family. Chemokines play important roles in inflammation and critical for the recruitment of effector immune cells to sites of infection. Other names for CXCR3 are G protein-coupled receptor 9 (GPR9) and CD183. Historically, CD183 was the third CXC chemokine receptor discovered and therefore, commonly designated as CXCR3. CXCR3 is able to regulate leukocyte trafficking. Binding of chemokines to CXCR3 induces various cellular responses, most notably integrin activation, cytoskeletal changes and chemotactic migration. CXCR3-ligand interaction attracts Th1 cells and promotes Th1 cell maturation.

Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. The CXC chemokine receptor 3 (CXCR3), a G-protein-coupled 7-transmembrane receptor, is expressed at high levels on activated and memory T cells, B cells, natural killer cells, and plasmacytoid monocytes.
